Protocol Education is currently seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to work with children who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in schools across Gateshead.

Position : Mental Health Support Worker

Are you compassionate and dedicated? Join our team as a Mental Health Support Worker, providing crucial support to children with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex learning disabilities, and those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will be part of a supportive local authority focused on delivering personalised support to help each child build self-esteem, achieve their personal targets, and develop a love for learning.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Provide Support : Offer mental health support to children with SEMH needs in schools across Gateshead.
  • Individualised Care : Work with children with ASC, complex learning disabilities, and EHCPs.
  • Collaborate : Be part of a supportive local authority dedicated to tailored support for each child.
  • Inspire and Motivate : Challenge and support each student to achieve their best, regardless of their needs.
  • Create a Positive Environment : Use effective behaviour management techniques to foster a positive learning atmosphere.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
