Mechanical Engineer - Foundry Environment

Location : Derbyshire

Salary : £48,000 per annum + Monthly Bonus

Shift Pattern : Panama Days Shift

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer :

Preventative Maintenance & Repairs : Perform routine and reactive maintenance on foundry equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.
Hydraulics & Pneumatics Expertise : Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Interpret Engineering Drawings : Read and work from detailed mechanical engineering drawings for the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery.
Health & Safety : Adhere to safety standards and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

The Ideal Mechanical Engineer :

Experience : Proven background as a Mechanical Engineer, ideally within a foundry, heavy industrial, or manufacturing setting.

Technical Skills : Strong understanding and practical experience with hydraulics and pneumatics systems.

Drawings Interpretation : Ability to accurately read and work from complex mechanical engineering drawings.

Qualifications : Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent) would be advantageous.

Package Offered to the Mechanical Engineer :

Salary : £48,000+ per annum.
