We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Administrator to join a logistics team within a busy manufacturing company near Carlisle. The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating and managing the transportation operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services in / out of their site.
No experience within transport admin required; training is provided.
A candidate who demonstrates good administration & communication skills is what we need!
Key Responsibilities :
- Good customer service.
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and suppliers to ensure smooth distribution and delivery operations.
- Prepare and process transportation documentation, such as orders, itineraries and invoices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of transportation policies and procedures for the site.
- Analyse transportation data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve delivery-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Support the logistics team with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements :
Proven experience in an administration role.Strong organisational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency with MS Office Suite.Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Hours and Pay :
Monday - Friday40 hours per weekFrom £23,795 per annumA supportive and collaborative work environment.Career development opportunitiesDue to the location of this site, own transport / driving licence is essential.
