The Financial Market Infrastructure Business Development team is part of the Client - Business Development organization responsible for driving core disciplines of investments, digital assets and strategic partnerships to deliver client solutions, create new business opportunities and impact the direction of market structure and growth.
The newly formed Financial Market Infrastructure Business Development (FMI BD) team will be responsible for establishing the FMI business development discipline bringing enterprise wide, horizontal routines to FMIs with an aim to better address the FMI as a client needs while delivering higher returns.
The FMI BD VP will be focused on leading the market structure strategy and advocacy to impact direction of infrastructure growth, enabling identification of mutual areas to develop forward looking partnerships and business development opportunities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Assist with formation of holistic market structure business development opportunities
- Help drive origination and execution of new partnership opportunities, often in emerging business models
- Establish and maintain external relationships with FMIs and industry partners
- Assist with creation and implementation of framework for a firm-wide view of financial infrastructure and priorities for Citi
- Work closely with partners to help improve balance of trade and identify new investment opportunities
- Collaborate effectively with business leadership throughout product areas to align strategy and drive execution of priorities
- Provide internal support for regulatory working groups and committees with FMI focus
- Provide internal support toward advocacy for regulatory and governance in the (FMI) industry representing Citi’s interest
- Act as a leader to support junior team
