Equans is looking for a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join our team in Canary Wharf, London on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 38-42 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £49, dependent upon skills & experience plus company benefits package.

Equans requires a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join the team working on our contract with Clifford Chance, located on site, situated at Canary Wharf. Ideally you will be electrical biased with a background of working in a Building Services Environment, and you will be working with water & specifically cooling towers. You will be given opportunities to undertake courses to gain further qualifications and be willing to learn new skills. There is also a requirement to work a variety of shifts (day & night) so flexiblility is a must.

What will you deliver?

  • To ensure all teams PPM and repairs are carried out as necessary
  • To ensure all reactive tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Required to safely operate and maintain the HVAC, HV, L8, Mechanical and Electrical systems and associated equipment on site
  • Assist with the day-to-day operation including subcontractors where required
  • Responsible for first line review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Making sure team meetings are being held daily to ensure PPM completion
  • Ensuring all logbooks are being kept up to date
  • Provide technical support to the customer on all M&E aspects

  • Who are we looking for?

  • 18th Edition Wiring (Essential)
  • Inspection and Testing (desirable)
  • City & Guilds BS or equivalent
  • IPAF Certificated for 3a & 3b machines (Desirable)
  • HVAP qualification (desirable)
  • Mechanical qualifications desirable
  • Experience in a building services environment as an engineer
  • Fully certified electrician or time served as an electrical tradesman
