We currently have a Data Analyst position available for a motivated individual to join our People team in Exeter. Joining us on a Permanent Contract, you will receive a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.

About the Role

As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with the wider HR team and key stakeholders across the business. This role will provide analysis on key trends and metrics and share insight on our people data to support business improvements. Furthermore, this role will lead and provide guidance to the wider team to ensure accurate and up-to-date data is readily available across all our People systems, picking up a 'data focused' role in the involvement of HR projects.

What you'll be doing :

  • Ensure we can capture, store, maintain and report on accurate people related metrics in a consistent manner
  • Ensure our people data is accurate and up-to-date across all our systems, including Oracle and our third party providers
  • Plan for and deliver consistent ways of capturing, storing, maintaining and reporting emerging requirements, such as new diversity or reward measures
  • Liaise with the wider People team to provide a suite of reports and analysis that supports business change, in particular working with Senior Business Partners, Employee Relations, Reward, People Projects and Planning
  • Work with colleagues across the business to understand their people data needs and provide them with useful data and insight
  • Translate raw data into meaningful and actionable information and insight
  • Lead on the continuous improvement of our people reporting, understand future business requirements and provide data and insight that will support them
  • Support the ongoing development of our medium and long term people reporting strategy, encouraging self-service and providing real-time dashboards
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with Group IT and third party support to implement our ongoing reporting strategy
  • Communicate and embed controls to maintain employee privacy across the Group and ensure we meet our responsibilities under the GDPR
  • Lead on the provision of our legislative people reporting requirements such as CEO Pay Ratio, Gender Pay Gap, Annual Report etc.

What we are looking for :

  • High degree of competence in using Microsoft Excel to analyse large sets of data
  • Ability to create infographic, interactive Dashboards using Microsoft PowerBI
  • Experience of managing and using complex data to effect change
  • Previous experience of reporting from Oracle or similar HRMS
  • Knowledge of legislative people reporting requirements
  • Previous Project Management experience
  • Effective organising, planning and prioritising skills
  • Confident customer relation skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to innovate and work well under pressure
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality
  • 35,000 - £40,000 a year
