This well-established multi-service law firm, with offices in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, is offering an exciting opportunity for an Employment Solicitor with a minimum of 3+ years PQE to join its highly regarded Employment team in Luton.

The firm is renowned for its exceptional legal advice and client service, providing legal solutions to a diverse range of clients, including business owners, FTSE 350 companies, public and private sector organisations, charities, and high-net-worth individuals. Their services span multiple areas of expertise, including Commercial Property, Corporate & Commercial, Commercial Litigation, Employment, Residential Property, Family Law, and Private Client services.

The Employment team, based in the firm’s Luton office, provides business-focused services to both HR teams and companies without dedicated HR resources. The team also represents senior employees on a personal level. Known for its practical and commercially-minded legal solutions, the team handles a wide range of employment matters, including TUPE, employment terminations, tribunal support, business reorganisations, and redundancies.

About the Role :

The role offers an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Employment Solicitor who is eager to develop their knowledge and skills in a variety of areas. The role is also suitable for an experienced solicitor looking for a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide day-to-day employment advice to both employers and employees.
  • Negotiate settlement agreements and represent clients in employment tribunals, including advocacy.
  • Advise on corporate matters such as TUPE, due diligence, and the employment aspects of transaction documents, including warranties and indemnities in sale agreements.
  • Develop and manage a client base through business development activities, including writing articles, hosting webinars, and networking.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to junior members of the team, including trainees and junior solicitors.

Key Requirements :

  • Qualified Employment Solicitor with at least 3+ years PQE.
  • Broad experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
  • Ideally, experience in employment-related corporate support, including TUPE and business transactions.
  • Experience in creating strategic solutions for businesses, with commercial acumen.
  • A positive attitude towards career progression and self-development.
  • Networking and marketing experience is desirable; public speaking experience is a plus.
