    Job Description

    Given this is a small, growing team there is excellent flexibility and autonomy as to how responsibilities are divided between members of the Finance team, however, specific areas of responsibility are likely to include :

    • Prepare the daily management information and trading performance
    • Assist in the preparation of Management Accounts, and other stakeholder information
    • Assist with financial planning processes (budgets, forecasts and long range plan)
    • Production of client, product and sales team profitability analysis
    • Provide assistance with month end revenue recognition postings
    • Review journals prepared by the juniors prior to posting into the ledger.
    • Generate the sales invoices for month end billing
    • Handle ad hoc analysis, queries and information requests from the business
    • Proactively engage with stakeholders to understand revenue sources and mechanics
    • Support system enhancements and efficiencies particularly around Finance information flows
    • Support future projects including enhancements to the Sales reporting, Business Intelligence and dashboards
    • Future project to enhance Business Intelligence (BI)
    • Support the statutory audit process and regulatory reporting where required
    • Provide cover for the team members where necessary

    • The Successful Applicant

    • Part qualified or exam qualified CIMA / ACA qualified preferably with min 2 years of relevant experience.
    • Prior experience in Capital Markets is essential, specifically in FX Brokerage or Exchange is desirable.
    • Highly numerate with high regard for accuracy
    • Well, acquainted with Microsoft suite of products and proficient in Excel (data connections, VBA / design and edit macros)
    • Ability to manipulate, interpret and summarise large data sets
    • Proven experience in using data for analysis and decision making
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment
    • Ability to plan, implement and administer financial information and control systems
    • Ensure sound control over the financial data across the group, including reviewing work of other team members where necessary
    • Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
    • Demonstrate appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, with motivation to apply them
    • Familiar with Sun systems and Vision finance software systems (desirable)
    • Working knowledge of SQL / PYTHON (desirable)
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
    • Exhibit maturity, professionalism, and a high level of discretion is required
    • The individual must be organised and pro-active, with a can-do attitude and should be able to demonstrate adding value to their existing role or department. Whilst being involved in the detail, the individual must also be able to focus on the 'big picture'; understand issues, reconcile and resolve them on a timely basis.
