Labourer

As a Labourer you will be working within a globally operating chemical and pharmaceutical company. This company is developing a range of ground-breaking products to strengthen their current product offering, with this position being pivotal in their release to market.

The position is a temporary 6 month contract role with the potentially of an extension or permanent opportunities. The role is working Monday to Friday 7am-3pm. The hourly wage for this position is £11.44, and overtime is compensated at a rate of x1.3 on weekdays and x1.5 on weekends.

The successful Labourer will be joining a multi-billion-pound chemical manufacturer. The site itself is clean, warm and sterile and this individual will be working on brand new automated machinery in order to manufacture high grade products. This company has consistently hit ambitious growth objectives, recently making a multi-million-pound investment on site with the addition of a new manufacturing plant.

Labourer Responsibilities

• Follow instructions from the Shift Lead regarding all aspects of day-to-day operations.
• Working on brand new automated machinery to manufacture high grade products.
• Perform safe manual packing operations and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Form boxes and seal packaged boxes with tape, apply labels as per instructions or Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensure sealed pallets are stacked correctly and safe manual handling is adhered to.
• Start and stop machinery in a controlled manner by way of push button and observe operation for malfunctions.
