Senior Electrical Design Engineer

3 days per week on site in Cambridge (first month only) – remote thereafter6 month contract (initially) - potential to extendRequired Experience :

• AutoCAD Electrical experience, this is their main design software, they will be using NFPA symbol standards for Canada.
• Working within a configuration-controlled PLM environment. (Windchill, but others should be suitable)
• Working to BS7671, the project will be to CSA standard but the principle of working to them will be the same so should be transferable.
• Comfortable with electrical part selection against a list of requirements.
• Comfortable with electrical calculations related to selection and design of electrical systems. (Power, Comms, Lighting. etc)Desirable :
• Working on projects destined for a Military customer or awareness of working to Military standards.
• Automotive design experience or awareness of working / integrating with Automotive systems.
• Experience or awareness of working with Communication protocols (CANBus, MODBus, RS232 etc.)...
