Site Engineer – Civil Engineering / Infrastructure Location : West Ham, East London Sector : Civil Engineering / Infrastructure Contract Type : Full Time – Permanent Salary : £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)About the Role Our client is looking to recruit a Site Engineer to join their experienced project team based in West Ham, East London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved from conception to completion on major infrastructure schemes, starting with the remediation packages for Thames Water. These projects involve the complex repair of bridge structures and trunk sewer barrels, spanning both road and rail interfaces.The successful candidate will provide site engineering duties including setting out, quality control, and supporting HSQE compliance. You’ll play a key role in project delivery alongside a dedicated team of Site Agents and Sub Agents, contributing to the success of some of the UK’s most important civil engineering works.Key ResponsibilitiesHealth, Safety & EnvironmentChampion safe working practices and our client’s safety cultureEnsure legal and procedural compliance on-sitePromote environmental standards and deliver work safelySite EngineeringEstablish level and survey control on-siteSet out works accurately in line with contract drawings and specificationsProduce and maintain site records, diaries, allocation sheets and photographic evidenceSupport production of RAMS, ITPs and short-term programmesIdentify and communicate value engineering opportunitiesQualityMaintain defect-free delivery of worksPromote and ensure best practice in quality assuranceExperience RequiredPrevious experience of setting out and engineering on civil infrastructure projectsStrong working knowledge of health & safety and construction regulationsFully conversant in the use of robotic total stations and EDM instrumentsAble to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsQualifications & TrainingEssentialHNC / Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalentExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated and driven to deliver high standardsDesirableCSCS cardExperience with AutoCAD and MS OfficeTemporary Works Coordination knowledgeCable avoidance, First Aid, IOSH or NEBOSHSMSTSIf the role of Site Engineer with a salary up to £45,000 per annum plus additional benefits is of interest please apply now and we will be in touch
