As Buyer reporting to the Procurement Manager, you’ll be joining a fast-paced successful Ingredients business that supplies leading food brands.
This role offers you the opportunity to work in a business that has long-standing partnerships with their customers. They work with leading retailers, manufacturers, QSR businesses internationally which allows that to invest in their infrastructure as they grow with them.
The role of Buyer will suit an experienced Junior Buyer or Buyer from the food industry who is looking to develop themselves. It’s a great opportunity to progress your career in the business whether that is purchasing, supply chain (as the previous Buyer did) or elsewhere in the business.
Working for a research and innovation business who are part of a leading global group will give you exposure to the go-to experts in their field where you’ll be part of the team delivering industry first innovations.
Day-to-day you’ll develop sourcing and category plans to deliver cost savings, innovation, process, and product improvement. You’ll be responsible for implementing and delivering procurement strategies across key spend areas to ensure that cost-effective purchasing is achieved. You’ll also be looking for opportunities to leverage costs across the business whilst ensuring continuous supply of raw materials and the delivery of procurement projects.
To qualify for consideration, you’ll have a 2+ years’ buying experience in food / Agri markets. You’ll have owned and managed your own category and have a good knowledge of sourcing strategies and supplier communication across categories.
The role is office based with two days working from home each week with monthly visits to suppliers as needed.
