Summary

This role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in payroll processing and financial accounting. The successful candidate will assist with various tasks related to payroll management and accounts, gaining valuable experience in a professional setting.

Annual wage : £16,800 a year

Hours : Monday to Friday 8 : 45am to 5pm, 37 hours a week

Possible start date : Monday 17 February

Duration : 1 year 1 month

What you'll do at work :

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, including data entry and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Assist in the management of candidate records, including timesheets, leave balances, and other relevant documentation.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from candidates and management.
  • Learn and apply accounting principles and practices under the guidance of experienced professionals.
  • Perform other duties as and when required.

Training :

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Your training course :

Accounts or finance assistant (level 2)

Essential qualifications :

GCSE in :

  • English (grade 4-9)
  • Maths (grade 4-9)
  • Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.
