Job descriptionHold a current Counterbalance forklift licence, although full inhouse training can be provided. Good communication and team working skills. Attention to detail is essential. Ability to work within a fast-paced environment. Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative. Starting salary for Forklift Driver is £24,pa, based on working 40 hours per week. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, from 13 : 30hrs – 22 : 00hrs. Overtime available. The position of Forklift Driver involves :
- Using a Counterbalance to load and unload palletised goods from trailers, rigid vehicles, and vans.
- Using the warehouse system & scanner to receive, locate goods into the racking, pick & dispatch whilst handling all goods with care and attention.
- Replenishing and consolidation of stock when required.
- General housekeeping and upkeep of the warehousing area and equipment.
- Completing any relevant paperwork in line with the warehouse processes to include reporting any defects.
