Workshop Assistant - training to progress to Fabricator!Paddock Wood - own transport ESSENTIALc.£28-34k dependent on skillsetHours – 6.30am – 4pm Monday – Friday (overtime possible weeknights and Saturday mornings)Fantastic exclusive opportunity for a Prefabrication Assistant to join a successful, established organisation who cultivate a great working environment, based in the Paddock Wood area.Duties include : Working in a small team within a busy metal fabrication workshop using a range of hand toolsReading technical drawings accuratelySupporting the fabrication process, learning the process within a metal fabrication environmentUsing machinery and power toolsMaintaining the highest quality whilst working to productivity targetsMaintaining a clean and tidy working environmentProviding support to the wider team as requiredCarrying out Quality Control checks as and when requiredAccurately measuring to specificationWorking to all health and safety rules and regulationsTo be considered for this role, you will : Have some relevant experience working in a manufacturing environmentBe interested in mechanics / mechanical engineering – ideally demonstrated through qualifications / education or personal projectsA positive, upbeat personality with a genuine passion for work!Have a clear desire to build a career within a business long term, able to demonstrate loyalty and commitmentTake pride in your attention to detailBe able to read technical drawings and take accurate measurementsHave a good level of physical fitnessBe keen and enthusiastic to learnThis is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a company who Will invest in your career long term, and offer a route to progression in the future.Offer training and developmentCultivate a friendly, supportive team environmentCare about their employeesReward hard work!
