Courier Driver

GIANT FREIGHT are seeking a reliable and dedicated self-employed Courier Driver to join our team. No van required, experience preferred but a hard working attitude is essential.NO VAN REQUIREDONGOING WORK (NOT JUST FOR PEAK)MONDAY TO FRIDAY (WEEKEND OVERTIME AVAILABLE)7.30AM START7 DAY PAYMENT TERMS (£200+ day rate in own van - MWB minimum LWB preferred)TRAINING PROVIDEDDuties

• Operate delivery vehicles, including vans, in a safe and responsible manner.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring that items are secured properly for transport.
• Navigate routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic regulations.
• Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any discrepancies.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.Skills
• Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 30 kg) as required during deliveries.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
