We are looking to recruit a Children and Youth Mission Worker who will;
- Be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of spiritual children & youth programmes, developing school Ministry and outreach with the local community to fulfil the aims of the Mission Development Plan.
- Plan, design, implement and evaluate spiritual Children & youth programmes / activities / initiatives, to support the successful delivery of mission
- Develop and lead worship in the spiritual youth programme and where appropriate provide chaplaincy, mentoring and pastoral care visits to support young people
- Develop effective working partnerships with internal mission development teams to ensure spiritual programmes are designed and implemented in alignment with organisational and best practice principles
- Lead on establishing links to the community, schools, colleges and any relevant external agencies to maximise the effective delivery of programmes to the community
- Ensure that both employee and volunteer resources are appointed and developed to deliver programmes effectively

The ability and willingness to lead and / or participate in worship, provide pastoral care and bring young people in the local community into a living faith with JesusStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information to programme participants and colleagues in a clear, effective and professional mannerDemonstrable ability to use your initiative, plan, organise and prioritise your tasks to effectively meet your objectives to the expected quality standards and time scales with minimal supervisionAn awareness of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements such as health and safety, data protection, safeguarding, equality and diversityA strong level of English - both spoken and written - and numeracy required to enable you to fulfil all duties of the roleProven good experience of using Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint), Outlook and Teams to perform your work dutiesThis role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian, actively involved with your own Church and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
