For this role you must be fully flexible Monday to Sunday. You will be allocated shifts on a rotational basis. You must be able to work 8pm-8am .

The Home

Bradley Manor Care Home stands as a beacon of warmth and comfort since its establishment in 2015. As the inaugural home of Healthcare Ireland Group, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional care tailored to the unique needs of each resident. With a total of 79 beds spread across Residential Dementia, Dementia Nursing and General / Frail Elderly Nursing units, we offer a continuum of care to suit varying levels of support required. Our scenic location offers breathtaking views of Belfast, providing a soothing backdrop for residents and families alike to enjoy.

The Role

You will pride yourself on providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity, and staff feel valued and supported. As part of our frontline team, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the Home, assisting with activities of daily living ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of residents. As a Care Assistant, you will also provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting a sense of compassion; an advocacy for the rights and preferences of our residents.

About The Role

Main Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.

Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.

Help residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities.

Assist with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.

Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents' well-being and reporting any changes in their health or behaviour.

Follow care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Ensure a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.

Desired Criteria

  • Educated to QCF / NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but not essential.

Required Criteria

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A good standard of oral and written English.
  • A non-judgemental approach to others.
  • Excellent communication skills with the compassion required to deliver high-quality care to our residents.
  • Respectful to not only residents but the values and beliefs of other team members.
