Location : Corby🕒 Shift Pattern : 4 on 4 off | 18 : 30 – 06 : 30 (42 hours / week)💰 Salary : Up to £40,000 per annum📄 Job Type : Full-time, PermanentAre you a skilled transport professional ready to take the lead in a fast-paced logistics environment? We're on the lookout for a proactive and experienced Transport Team Leader (Nights) to join our client in Corby.In this key leadership role, you'll help drive the success of transport operations by ensuring goods move efficiently, safely, and in line with customer expectations and compliance standards.About the role :

  • Oversee daily transport plans and allocate resources effectively using transport software.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to align transport operations with loading schedules.
  • Manage and support transport operators, ensuring smooth communication of delays or changes.
  • Conduct pre-departure briefings and audit driver packs to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor live transport events and respond to delays in real-time.
  • Ensure front desk operations are running smoothly and documentation is accurate.
  • Manage POD (Proof of Delivery) processes and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Handle driver licence checks, absence reporting, and return-to-work interviews.
  • Lead incident investigations and document RTCs, near-misses, and staff injuries.
  • Provide clear and concise shift handovers and generate detailed daily reports.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, both internally and externally.
  • Ensure legal, safety, and operational compliance throughout all transport activity.What We’re Looking For : ✅ Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport management (required)
  • Proficiency in transport planning software and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of driver hours, working time regulations, and UK geography
  • Transport Manager CPC (desirable)✅ Skills & Attributes
  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
