Business Support Assistant

Location : Usk (Hybrid : 3 days office, 2 days home after training)

Contract : 10th March 2025 – 1st June 2025 (potential extension to April 2026)

Hours : 37 hours / week, Monday–Friday, 9 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Salary : £13.02 p / h

What You’ll Do :

  • Manage correspondence, records, and databases (including PLANT) with precision and professionalism.
  • Handle admin tasks—minute-taking, bookings, file audits—to keep teams running smoothly.
  • Support financial processes, from petty cash to invoice management, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as a first point of contact, handling safeguarding calls and building trusted relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Train and assist staff on systems, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to service improvements through data validation and reporting.
  • What We’re Looking For :

  • Skills : Strong IT and data manipulation skills, excellent communication, and a knack for organisation.
  • Qualities : Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting a team that makes a difference.
  • Experience : Comfort with admin, customer-facing tasks, and a basic understanding of business support’s value.
  • Bonus Points : Familiarity with databases (e.g., PLANT), local government experience, or HR / finance admin skills.
