Ruckus Networks is looking to add an experienced Systems Engineer for our end-user customer and channel based in the United Kingdom. The ideal candidate will be based within commuting distance of Winnersh, as you will need to go to the office some days a week.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World
The primary responsibilities of the Systems Engineer will be to focus on RUCKUS end-user customer and channel partner enablement and development to support end-user networking sales opportunities
You will perform technical demos, proof of concept trials, technical training, provide standard methodology design input and review, solution-focused selling and positioning to all levels of decision-makers, and deliver presentations for customers, partners, prospects, and events. The successful candidate will be a proficient self-starter, with strong technical skills and industry knowledge, and distinguished interpersonal skills with history or experience as a customer or partner-facing Systems Engineer.
We will look to you to act as a technical advisor to End User Customers and Channel Partners with the ability to differentiate and competitively position Ruckus products.
Required Qualifications for Consideration :
5+ years of proven experience working with IP / Wireless technologies.
A proficient understanding of pre-sales engineering and sales processes including critical account management.
Strong knowledge of 802.11 a / g / n / ac / ax, wireless design and assessment, heat map creation, wireless troubleshooting, wireless network optimisation, IP routing and switching WAN / LAN design, configuration, troubleshooting.
General knowledge of the following areas : VLAN; Security; VoIP; QoS wired / wireless; BYOD / MDM; PtP; Mesh; Wireless Controller Architectures; Wi-Fi protocols and transmission, RF engineering, Indoor and Outdoor wireless deployments; Packet Capture / Analysis Tools; WLAN Security RF polarisation and Antenna signal propagation behaviour.
Advanced understanding of partner business drivers and how to map these to a customer network platform, including identification of improvement areas in network design.
