As a Gas Engineer - Installations / Breakdown, you will be expected to : Ensure that all gas installations that supply customers homes are installed and maintained to the highest possible standards and that all statutory and regulatory requirements are metEnsure that all repairs are completed within the target response timesProvide a high standard of service to all customersCarry out repairs and maintenance to all customer homes in accordance with current Building Regulations, Health & Safety Legislation, and Association timescalesUse / wear and apply all PPE issued by SPS and ensure all PPE equipment issued is accounted for at all times and kept safe and secureAssist colleagues where necessary to ensure SPS obligations are completely fulfilledBe part of a call out team as and when required as per a rotaMeet appraisal targets and support the delivery and achievement of overall business objectivesCommit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.

To be successful in a Gas Engineer - Installations / Breakdown role, the skills you will need to : Be Gas Safe Registered (

CCN 1,

CPA 1, CEN / WAT, HTR1)Able to complete gas documentation i.e. LGSRs on PDA deviceExperience working in repairs and maintenance in housing servicesExperience of working in a building environment and completing repair work in occupied homesExtensive proven experience of repairs and maintenance, particularly breakdownsA knowledge of relevant legislation and / or Codes of Practice i.e. Construction, Building Regulations and Health & SafetyGood interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with home owners, external agencies and office based colleaguesAble to plan and prioritise to ensure the effective use of own timeCommitment to providing a high-quality service to all customersAble to form & maintain good working relationships at all levels, internal & externallySound Practical knowledge and experience of gas worksExcellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.Ability to use Microsoft office including Excel, PowerPoint and WordAbility to work in an agile working environment.Team player with the ability to work off own initiative.Be part of a call out team as and when required as per a rotaDemonstrate The Sovini Groups values in your day to day job role
