Overview

Join Our Team as a Baggage Handler!

Pay : £11.79 per hour, increases to £12.01 on successful completion of your probation.

Location : Edinburgh Airport

Shift Pattern : This is a 4 on and 4 off schedule

Hours : 37.5 Hours per week

UK Manual Driving Licence is essential for this role.

Are you ready for a dynamic and hands-on role? We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Baggage Handlers. As a Baggage Handler, you will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including :

Responsibilities

Our Baggage Agents  perform a range of duties, which may include :

  • Handle the loading and unloading of luggage, mail, and cargo onto and off aircraft, trucks, and conveyor belts.
  • Sort and arrange luggage according to flight and destination.
  • Conduct security checks of baggage to ensure safety.
  • Operate and maintain ground handling equipment such as conveyor belts, tugs, and tow tractors.
  • Transport luggage between connecting flights.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in manual handling, warehouse, or related fields is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English;
  • UK Manual Driving Licence is essential.
  • The ability to work under pressure and adapt to suit our clients’ needs.
  • You must have a full 5 year / unemployment / education history within the UK.
  • Proof of right to live and work within the UK.
  • You must have been living within the UK for 5 years to be considered for this role
  • 2 x proof of address.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling baggage.
