We partner with the UK’s leading housing developers and were delighted to be crowned Subcontractor of the Year at the 2023 Housebuilder Awards.The RoleWe’re looking for a Credit Assistant with excellent attention to detail and the ability to develop strong working relationships to support the Credit Function. Your key remit will be to ensure timely and accurate execution of billing requirements and cash allocation.ResponsibilitiesRaising customer invoices in line with the Billing Schedule and Builder Requirements whilst submitting to the appropriate site / customer in a timely mannerAllocate payments received to customer accounts and provide the Credit Controllers with supplementary information as per the customer’s remittanceRelease payment cardsCommunicate with the Regional Manager when required to ensure the timely receipt of the signed confirmation of works from siteAccurately update the “Date changed Invoices” spreadsheet with appropriate reasonsRaising Credit Notes as requiredMaking sure all filing of monthly invoices, applications and cash receipts are up to dateEnsuring the Accounts Receivable Mailbox is kept up to date and organised by responding to and actioning incoming mailPerforming ad hoc duties as required by the Head of CreditRequirements Experience in billing and cash allocation or wider accounting qualificationsExperience of managing own workload and working to deadlinesBuilding and maintaining strong working relationshipsStrong written and verbal communication skillsGood IT skills, including the use of Microsoft ExcelGood organisational skills, including time management and prioritisationExcellent accuracy and attention to detailAbility to adapt and learn processes and systems quicklySelf-motivated with a flexible approach to workingAbility to present precise and accurate informationAbility to achieve set KPIs and targetsBenefits24 days’ holiday increasing with service + bank holidaysOption to buy up to 5 further days’ holidayCompany pension schemeLife assuranceDiscounted gym membership24 / 7 free & confidential support helplineIn-house wellbeing teamFree on-site parkingRefreshments and fresh fruit providedEarly finish on FridaySummer & Christmas social eventsOur Values : Commitment | Change | Career Progression | Care | CollaborationClarkson Evans is an equal opportunities employer and we’re proud of our fair and inclusive recruitment process.
