Teaching Assistant

The Governing Body of Alvanley and Manley Village School is looking to appoint a 0.5 Teaching Assistant to work alternate Wednesdays and every Thursday and Friday. The role will focus on supporting the class teacher across KS1 classes and carrying out interventions with pupils. Knowledge and experience of KS1 curriculum and assessment are desirable. Knowledge and experience of delivering phonics and / or the Read Write Inc programme is also desirable.

The successful candidate will be given relevant training and support for any programme or intervention that they will be asked to deliver. You will be supporting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional needs, working with groups of children or supporting children 1 : 1. This will also require some support for SEND and / or PP pupils.

We would like a creative and dynamic Teaching Assistant, who is able to follow teachers' planning and work within a small team to positively impact the children in our school. We are looking for a flexible and motivated person, someone who is willing to contribute to the ethos of our nurturing village school.
