All About the Role
Based at our Barrett Central Distribution, Scunthorpe site, the purpose of this role is to carry out driving & related duties involved with the carriage of goods within a defined geographical area. The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 5 : 00am – 1 : 00pm plus overtime.
Specific tasks include :
- To oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises
- Driving Class 1.
- Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed & returned without delay.
- To check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift.
- To ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards in terms of reporting of any defects to the vehicle.
- Ensures vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use, & are operated in a safe manner.
- Adhere to all health and safety standards at all time
- You may be required to work nights out as and when required

To hold a valid HGV Class 1 Licence (with no more than 6 points).Own a Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card.Knowledge of working time directive.Previous experience in a warehousing or distribution business.Understanding and experience of EHS requirements.How it feels to work for us
