About the Role : My client is looking for a Technical Manager to take the lead on a major regeneration scheme in West London, delivering between 1,500 and 2,000 new homes across multiple phases. The phase of the project is at the detailed design stage, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to manage it through to final completion. This role requires a strong technical background, and we welcome applications from candidates with architectural experience, provided they have managed the full life cycle of medium to large-scale high-rise residential developments, ideally in London or another major UK city.

Duties and Responsibilities : Oversee the technical design process from detailed design to project completionManage consultant teams, ensuring technical information is fully coordinated and compliantWork closely with contractors and internal teams to maintain design integrity during constructionEnsure adherence to building regulations, planning conditions, and sustainability targetsIdentify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycleAct as the key point of contact for technical queries and problem-solving on-siteSupport procurement and value engineering to optimise design efficiencyEngage with stakeholders, including planning authorities and community groups, to uphold project standards

Requirements : Proven experience in a technical management role within residential constructionBackground in architecture, consultancy, or development, with full project lifecycle experienceStrong knowledge of UK building regulations and technical design standardsExperience managing large-scale, high-rise residential projects, ideally in London or another major UK cityExcellent coordination skills, working with multidisciplinary teams and external consultantsAbility to navigate complex design and construction challenges effectivelyStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
