Senior Bookkeeper

Ambition is working with a well-regarded, independent firm of Accountants in East London who are currently seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team to look after the day to accounting for a portfolio of clients.

The firm have an extremely modern way of working and can boast an enviable portfolio of clients punching well above their weight. They provide a full suite of accountancy services that has grown through word of mouth and networking in specialist industries. Offices are in East London easily accessible by public transport and car for those people commuting from Essex, Herts, and North London and they offer hybrid working after probation.

The Role

As a Senior Bookkeeper the role will provide day to day bookkeeping and management accounting services to a varied and interesting client portfolio. The role has close interaction with colleagues in a friendly and inclusive working environment, at home and in the office.

As Senior Bookkeeper, responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following

• Preparing VAT calculations & returns
• Managing Bank reconciliations
• Management Accounts
• Double entry bookkeeping
• Daily Bookkeeping tasks

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of working in an accountancy practice, demonstrate good communications skills, be organised and proactive, client focus and teamwork with excellent attention to detail. Essential skills include :

Candidates will also need to be able to commute easily to East London and nearby parking is available to those who drive.
