Job description

We are looking for an outstanding Activities Coordinator with a passion for delivering excellent care.

You'll be working 22.5 hours a week (working from Sunday to Tuesday, 8.30am to 4.30pm one week, and then from Monday to Wednesday the following week) at Cygnet Hospital Harrogate . This is an established mental health hospital that provides an emergency admissions service across two acute wards.

Haven Ward is Cygnet Hospital Harrogate's 19 bed acute mental health service for men. The ward can treat service users on an informal basis and also those detained under the Mental Health Act. Sanctuary Ward is Cygnet Hospital Harrogate's emergency acute inpatient service for women. The ward can accept service users on an informal basis and also those detained under the Mental Health Act.

The hospital is located in very pleasant surroundings, in this picturesque North Yorkshire spa town which is easily accessed by road and rail.

Your day-to-day

  • Develop, plan, implement & oversee activities, outings & events for the people in our care
  • Provide fun & constructive leisure time, as well as appropriate physical & emotional support
  • Ensure the provision of staff, space & materials for all activities
  • Supervise, oversee & develop colleagues
  • Oversee the creation of promotional materials for events
