SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (1 : 1 Support) – Torquay

Start Date : End of April 2025

Contract : Full-Time (Mon–Fri), Temp to Potential Permanent

Location : Torquay, Devon

Salary : £92-£100 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding opportunity? Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Torquay seeking a dedicated SEN TA to provide 1 : 1 support for a child with learning difficulties.

The Role :

Full-time, Monday to Friday during school hours

Supporting a primary-aged student on a 1 : 1 basis

Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo and external professionals

Creating a positive and nurturing environment tailored to the child’s needs

Role starts end of April and will continue until the end of the academic year , with the potential to become long-term or permanent for the right person

Requirements :

Proven experience working within education settings , particularly SEN

Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff

A patient, calm, and empathetic approach

Confident supporting children with learning difficulties and additional needs

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply through us)

Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
