Job description

At Leader Education , we are seeking a Mental Health / Behaviour Support Assistant to support children within a SEMH school, this school is based in Blyth, Northumberland. The ideal candidate will have had previous experience working with young people as well as a genuine interest and commitment to helping them reach their full potential.

The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8 : 30 until 15 : 30.

The successful Candidate will :

  • Candidates will need an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with EHCP's
  • Monitor and manage student's behaviour and wellbeing
  • Support the development of social and emotional skills
  • Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting young people with diverse need
