Are you passionate about supporting the education and development of young people? Protocol education is working with vibrant and inclusive secondary schools, seeking new dedicated Cover Supervisors to join their teams. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom, supporting students aged 11-16 in a dynamic learning environment.

About the Role :

As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classrooms during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-set work and maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere. This is an unqualified position, meaning no formal teaching qualification is required – we’re looking for enthusiasm, resilience, and the ability to connect with young people.

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise classes across a range of subjects, delivering pre-prepared lessons.
• Manage student behaviour in line with school policies to create a safe and focused environment.
• Support students in completing tasks and answering basic queries.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute to the wider school community.
• Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour during cover lessons.

Who We’re Looking For :

While this is an unqualified role and no teaching qualification is necessary, we’d love to hear from candidates who bring :

Experience in a school setting is a bonus, but not essential – we value transferable skills and a willingness to learn!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
