A highly regarded international law firm in London is seeking a dedicated and proactive Construction Associate to join their team. This role is perfect for a newly qualified solicitor who is eager to work on both contentious and non-contentious construction matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in adjudication and a strong interest in construction law.
Key Responsibilities :
- Contentious Work : Handle a variety of construction disputes, including adjudications, arbitrations, and litigation in relation to building and engineering contracts.
- Non-Contentious Work : Advise on and draft construction contracts, appointments, collateral warranties, and other related documentation. Provide legal support on procurement strategies and project structures.
- Adjudication : Manage adjudication processes from start to finish, including drafting submissions, liaising with clients, and representing them in adjudications.
- Client Interaction : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing clear, pragmatic advice on a range of construction law issues.
- Research and Analysis : Conduct detailed legal research and analysis to support contentious and non-contentious matters, providing concise and accurate advice.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other members of the construction team and across the firm's departments to deliver comprehensive legal services to clients.
Requirements :
Qualification : Qualified solicitor in England and Wales.Experience : Newly qualified solicitor with demonstrable experience in construction law, particularly in adjudication.Skills : Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Client Focus : Ability to understand client needs and deliver high-quality legal advice. Proven track record of maintaining client relationships.Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the overall success of the department.Commercial Awareness : Strong understanding of the commercial aspects of construction projects and the wider industry.Benefits :
