Control System Engineer Hybrid working is possible 8 months Leatherhead Surrey

Control System Engineer on a detailed design project for an initial 8 month contract role that has an immediate start and a target limited company rate to man of circa 55.00 per hour.

The role will be based on 5 days a week in the Offices in Leatherhead. Hybrid working may be possible with two days remote.

The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment

Job Description

Candidate having experience in the detailed engineering phase of projects particularly in handling packages and will assist in designing process control systems based on DCSESD & FGS systems.

Contribute to the development of I&C design deliverables including P&IDs Instrument List Instrument Specifications and Instrument Data Sheets.

Work in the detailed engineering phase of projects with a focus on handling packages.

Assist in the design of process control systems based on DCS PLC and SCADA.

Collaborate with client counterparts and vendors to interface control systems and new packages.

Support risk assessments such as Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) and Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP).

Prepare technical requisitions and conduct bid evaluations.

Assist in the development of Safety Requirement Specifications (SRS) and demonstrate working knowledge of IEC 61508 & IEC 61511.

Perform assigned automationrelated job functions including the creation of I / O lists Instrumentation lists and the specification of instrumentation and control elements.

Interface with Electrical systems and MCC.

Experience in Brownfield onshore projects.

Experience working with multiple centers.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Middle Eastern projects and familiarity with related work processes.
