HGV Technician

Job title : HGV TechnicianJob location : Haydock, St HelensSalary : £39,500 experience dependingStart date : ASAPDuration : PermanentJob Description : We are looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join our team in Dukinfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for MOT preparation, servicing, inspection, and preventative maintenance on heavy and light goods vehicles.Key Responsibilities :

• Perform routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on HGVs and LGVs.
• Conduct MOT preparation and ensure all vehicles meet DVSA standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to reduce vehicle downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.Requirements :
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HGV and LGV maintenance.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A Class 1 licence is beneficial but not essential.Working Hours & Benefits :
• Monday to Friday : 08 : 00 AM - 18 : 00 PM (47.5 hours per week, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break).
• Alternate Saturdays : 07 : 00 AM - 12 : 00 PM (paid at 1.5x rate).
• Competitive salary starting at £39500 per annum (depending on experience).
