About the apprenticeship
Duties
Principal Accountabilities :
- Adhere to all health and safety standards.
- Enroll on, and complete, an Engineering college learning path
- Be receptive and show capability while learning about product function
- Use a methodical and logical approach to problem solving
- Produce required academic / NVQ work to the agreed standard in an agreed timeframe
- Learn how to build and set machine tooling
- Train how to carry out essential fixture maintenance
- Be able to understand and learn CNC programming methods
- Have the ability to learn how to interact and run Industry leading automation, including robot tended machining cells and Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) material delivery systems
- Work effectively as part of a Team
- Have the ability to accurately collect, and analyse, data
- Consider environmental factors surrounding the job and dispose of waste accordingly
- Learn and understand best practice (APQP) Quality Procedures
- Assist in duties carried out by peers and mentors

5 GCSE's grade C and aboveSkills, Education and Experience :
Take ownership of working environmentNaturally maintain an infectious positive attitudeFeel passion towards their work / Engineering, be driven and self motivatedShow the ability to be able to make confident decisions in a working environmentEssential – 5 GCSEs grade Ato C. This must include a B in Maths and at least C in Science and English Language (or Welsh as a first language)Desirable – Previous work experience in industrial Brake Manufacturing environmentSkills
