Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist ARP Development Post
We are recruiting a number of Speech and Language Therapists to join our Integrated Children and Young People’s Therapies Service in Buckinghamshire. These posts are a result of exciting and innovative service developments following the recent recommissioning of the service in Buckinghamshire. The service is broadening it's offer to include speech and language therapy support to children and young people in the Additionally Resourced Provision settings in Buckinghamshire.
Main duties of the job
Some of these settings support children with Developmental Language Disorder and some support children with Social Communication needs. You will be offered the opportunity to experience both caseloads or focus on a particular area of need as part of a team. You will also gain experience in mainstream schools across key stages within a locality area of mainstream schools.
The Speech and Language Therapy Service forms part of an Integrated Children and Young People’s Therapies Service working closely with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy as well as wider children and young people’s services including Health Visitors, Community Nurses for Children with a Learning Disability, Community Paediatricians and School Nurses.
This is a jointly commissioned service across health and education that will give you the opportunity to be supported as you develop your speech and language therapy skills to support the delivery of high quality, evidence based interventions for children and young people in Buckinghamshire.
