Job description

Job Title : Behaviour Support Assistant

Location :

North West England, Greater Manchester, Longsight

Job Type :

Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry :

Salary : 89 - £99 Per day

Job Duties :

  • Provide support to students with challenging behaviour
  • Assist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies
  • Monitor and track student behaviour and progress
  • Participate in meetings with parents and school staff regarding student behaviour
  • Support the overall well-being and development of students

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
  • Education :

    GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

    Experience :

    Previous experience working with children or young people

    Knowledge and Skills :

  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Good organisational skills
  • Empathy and understanding towards students with behavioural challenges
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Additional qualifications in education or child development
  • Training in de-escalation techniques
  • Working Conditions :

  • Work in a school setting
  • Potential exposure to challenging behaviour
  • Regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents
  • Full-time hours during school term times

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
