This is an exciting opportunity to join the award-winning Bucks Healthcare NHS Trust, Research & Innovation team. We deliver a wide range of research and innovation studies across numerous specialties Trust wide in hospital sites and within the community.

The Research & Innovation department at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is supported by Thames Valley & South Midlands Clinical Research Network to promote National Portfolio projects through the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR). The department also supports local research as well as commercial and student research within varied specialties and themes.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a colleague to work collaboratively with the clinical trials team and the wider multi-disciplinary team in the management of the caseload of clinical trial patients.

The role involves using an in depth knowledge of trial protocols and their application in practice, alongside a working knowledge and compliance with the local, national and international research regulations. The role is varied, interesting, dynamic and often challenging, and you will be supported with research training to develop skills and knowledge.

Education

Essential criteria

  • NMC registration
  • Knowledge of ICH GCP
  • Graduate Level qualification or working towards one

Desirable criteria

  • Teaching / mentoring qualification / experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Experience

  • Minimum 2 years post-registration experience
  • Experience in clinical research trials
  • Experience of collaborating with other agencies
  • Desirable criteria

  • Cardiology nursing experience
  • ECG experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Evidence of accuracy to detail in data collection
  • Computer literacy

  • PPE requirements :   Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust requires all colleagues to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with our infection prevention and control procedures.
