Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION The Manager, International Business Development, EMEA, is a regional role focused on Europe, Middle East, Africa (including India sub-continent), reporting to the Senior Director, International Business Development. This critical role will help drive growth within the Inspire Brands’ International platform across all brands in the EMEA region. Identifying suitable potential partners, managing the development process alongside cross functional teams to diligently evaluate capabilities, and then successfully reaching commercial agreements before adding them to our network. Focus will primarily be on cultivating new business, in new markets as well as strategic and sizable renewals with existing business partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Adapt and implement strategies and plans to ensure a strong pipeline of potential new business partners, as well as execute activities to enhance awareness for Inspire Brands’ portfolio. Utilize networks and communities across the industry to ensure clear and actionable annual plans to drive pipeline and meet overall growth ambitions for both annual and long-range plans.

Perform cross-functional review and evaluation of new business partners and their business plans, validating their capability to join our network with commercially sound assumptions and thinking, achieving both internal and external objectives. Work collaboratively with other functions and the regional market teams to collectively ascertain partner ability to deliver upon their development

obligations.

Prepare and present new business opportunities to obtain required internal approvals, ensuring all stages of the development and other interdependent processes are successfully executed with proper due diligence and governance.

Facilitate key commercial terms discussions and complete negotiations, working closely with the regional market team, legal, finance, and other functional teams to ensure each piece of new business is aligned with our growth strategy and ambitions.

Work closely with regional market teams through existing business renewals to achieve future commitments for incremental unit growth, while following best practices and ways of working

As required, support relevant commercial projects that impact or add value to the growth ambition of the development team.

Be an active and contributing member of the international development team, and be involved in wider and broader initiatives, thinking, and planning periodically.

Document and record progress, build internal reports that can present the latest status and progress of

tasks and goals.

Create presentations and conduct presentations internally and for external audiences (all topics will be job-related)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Finance, or relevant field
  • 5 Years Experience within international businesses, within development or sales roles, franchise, and licensing across any sector. F&B / QSR sectors would be advantageous.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES

  • Results-oriented, team player, thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – the ability to develop rapport and influence internal and external stakeholders through collaboration and communication
  • Strong commercial / financial acumen
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel, effectively prioritize work, and coordinate with collaborators within the team and across the organization
  • Expertise in full Microsoft Office suite
  • Passionate about building the Inspire Brands International platform and bringing its brands and guest experiences to people around the world
  • Experience in International business environments – required
  • English Language proficiency – required
  • Prior franchisee relationship experience – preferred
