Qualifications needed :

Full GMC registration with a licence to practice

CCT or equivalent

Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it

Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it

Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

We are currently recruiting to a Community CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist position in Waltham Forest CAMHS Community Team, based at Wood Street Health Centre, 6 Linford Road, Walthamstow, London, E17 3LA.

This is an established, substantive, full-time post - 10 Programmed Activities (DCC : SPA = This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible.

You will join another CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist (Dr Amber Sadiq, Dr Colin Welch, and Dr Sara Kundu), Specialist Grade doctor (Dr Richie Scott), 3wte Specialty Doctors (Dr Fakiha Masood, Dr Uzma Sajid, and out to recruitment), 1 Higher Specialist

Job responsibilities

You will be expected to :

Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Waltham Forest.

Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team

Work directly with children and young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals

Participate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1 : 13, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement.

Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative

Work alongside CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists, Specialist Grade doctor, 3wte Specialty Doctors, 1 Higher Specialist Trainee, and 1 Core Trainee, within the service.

Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.
