My client is recruiting for a Management Accountant role in Crawley.

Job Description

• Management Reporting : Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Budgeting & Forecasting : Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and identifying variances from actuals.
• Cost Analysis : Conduct detailed cost analysis and identify areas for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and profit maximisation.
• Financial Planning : Support strategic planning by providing financial projections, scenario analysis, and financial modelling.
• Business Partnering : Work closely with department heads and senior management to provide financial guidance and support on key business decisions.
• Variance Analysis : Analyse variances between actual results and budget / forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Compliance & Controls : Ensure financial processes comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal controls.
• Continuous Improvement : Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, processes, and reporting tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.

The Successful Applicant

• Strong proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Potentially working towards an Accountancy qualification.
• Preferably have had previous experience working as a Management Accountant.
