Job description

Connect Appointments are working with our new engineering client in Aberdeen, and are on the lookout for a Project Engineer to join our client's team on a permanent basis.This is a full-time permanent position, with a salary of £50,000 per annum, plus a range of company benefits.Working as a Project Engineer, your duties will include : Undertake the management of projects in accordance with the CDM regulations 2015Estimating of projects as per customer enquiries, scope of works, specifications and requirementsPlanning and management of projects from initiation to completionCreation, management and maintenance of all required HSEQ documentation for the projectsCustomer liaison, meetings, reporting and communicationUndertake HSEQ site audits and compile reportsOrganisation and management of sub-contractors relating to the projectsManagement of AJT site supervisors and site personnel whilst onsiteProject document control and certificationMaintain a safe and tidy working environment and make appropriate use of PPE at all timesWork to HSE ACOPs, customer rules and specifications, company / divisional work instructions and forms at all timesRepresent the company in a professional manner at all timesCarry out any other reasonable tasks as requestedTo be successful in this position, you will have a SVQ level 3 or equivalent or higher in relevant trade qualification. Ideally combined with preferred experience working in a mechanical, fabrication or piping engineering environment.Other kay skills, traits and experience include : Preferred experience working on CDM worksitesPreferred basic knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001Preferred Full clean driving licenceAbility to learn and adapt to the requirements of the roleAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMsPossess computer skills and knowledge of using Microsoft software packagesPossess a high level of focus and attention to detail and accuracyOrganisational ability and time management skillsDemonstrated self-starter with high initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a teamAdvanced conversational and written English / high level interpersonal skillsComfortable working at height and in confined spacesAbility to deal with sensitive information in a confidential mannerAble to work away from home as requiredInterested?
