The Role
You will be a key member of the Digital Technical Services team, which is part of the wider Digital Department at NHS Lanarkshire.
The Digital Communications Specialist will be to prepare the meeting and educational spaces (lecture theatres, meeting rooms, skills labs, simulation areas etc.) by providing solutions and support for all Audio-Visual (AV) / Video Conferencing (VC) and Digital requirements across NHSL. This will include supporting and dealing with routine AV, IT requests and managing any technical issues that may occur, as well as, providing preparatory and real-time support to Government, Board and high-level corporate meetings and live events.
You will drive innovation and implementation of Audio-Visual, Digital Communication and Virtual / Augmented reality platforms ensuring NHSL maintains a robust digital communications environment.
You will also will need a high-level and broad range engineering knowledge in configuring and supporting digital communications equipment and related digital systems. An overview of primary systems are :
You will work under direction from the Digital Communications Manager and will be responsible for supervising other staff potentially involved in these activities. They will be required to provide technical reports to the Digital Communications Manager on a regular basis regarding the performance and status of these systems, and future direction.

Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Digital Operations - Telecomms within Kirklands - NHSL Headquarters, however, the post-holder will have a multi-site role across Lanarkshire.
The working pattern for this role is : Monday-Friday 9-5pm
