We are looking to welcome a skilled general maintenance person to ensure the facilities in our converted Manor House care home near Romsey are kept in top shape.

The role is a perfect full-time role at 40 hours a week. The schedule is Monday - Friday, with occasional call-outs on weekends for unforeseen emergencies.

The role pays £16.56 an hour and covers a range of tasks including :

Equipment repairs and servicing (vacuum cleaners, wheelchairs etc.)

Minor electrical works - replacing light fittings etc.

Repairs and improvements to equipment and facilities

Plumbing repairs, leaks, blockages, installing new sanitary ware, etc.

Installing & repairing fixtures and fittings (curtain tracks, door furniture etc.)

Painting and decorating.

In addition to being a hands-on role, you'll be responsible for ensuring our building is compliant with all necessary Health & Safety checks and audits, so your organisational and administrative skills will be excellent too.

You'll work closely with the home management, care teams and residents, so as well as being a good administrator, and an excellent practical person you'll enjoy being around people and working as part of a team.

You'll need a sound understanding of facilities management in a similar environment, and an excellent understanding of current H&S legislation and regulations.

We are not well provided with public transport links, so you'll need to be able to travel to the home under your own steam.
