Reliable & trustworthy Live-in Housekeeper / Cook for a quiet and elegant private residence, NW1

This is a new role for an immaculately presented, proactive and reliable live-in hands-on Housekeeper / Cook to work for a private family at a historical and beautifully restored private residence in NW1.

Duties to include but not limited to :

• Housekeeping
• Laundry and ironing
• Wardrobe management
• Care of antiques
• Care and upkeep of fabrics and items within the home
• Easy garden maintenance
• Frequent healthy and simple cooking
• Preparing shopping list and doing the grocery / household shop
• Setting and serving at the table (if required)
• Liaising with contractors
• Notifying the Principal if any items are damaged
• Maintain high level security measures
• Ability to drive Employer’s car as and when necessary
• Maintain organised expense records and household files
• Answer the house phone
• Occasional help with visiting Principal's admin

The residence has numerous spacious bedrooms with a double height studio in the Mews behind.

Days and Hours – 5 days a week with two days off.  8am – 6pm a ‘typical’ day but imperative to have flexible approach to working hours, including from time-to-time evenings and weekends particularly when Principals are in residence.

Accommodation – single occupancy separate well lit studio - bed / bath / small kitchen.

All food & uniform to be provided

Salary £50,000 - £52,000p.a with discretionary bonus

Holiday 20 days plus Bank Holidays

Candidates must have a DBS, full driving licence, legal rights to work in the UK
