THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, focused Wine Shipping & Logistics Lead to manage domestic and international movements of Wine & Spirits based in West Drayton, West London but working closely with our new facility in Paris.
We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with experience of working within the high-end logistics sector with a proven track record of delivering top end service. This is a diverse role where no day will be the same and will require someone from an operational logistics background with the ability to forge strong relationships with clients and build something special and sustainable within the fine wine auction and logistics sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of international alcohol shipping regulations, exceptional organisational skills as well as experience with preparing and processing necessary documentation for shipping, including customs declarations, invoices, and permits.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
Being the main liaison between Crozier, our client and third-party shippers to manage and organise all wine shipping activities both domestically and internationally. Build relationships both internally and externally.
Aligned communication with other Crozier facilities, third party shippers and our client to ensure chain of custody and compliance are maintained at all times.
Plan, schedule and monitor shipping activities both domestically and internationally.
Develop SOP’s, KPI’s in line with business requirements and report to both Crozier and client management teams.
Coordination and management of all customs matters related to wine shipping.
Ensure the seamless flow of activity during busy periods. This will include resource planning, organisation of stock, communicating with shippers and clients to ensure a seamless end to end service and total customer satisfaction.
Communicate and work closely with the wider Crozier business to ensure compliance with under bond stock, HMRC reporting and resource requirements.
Able to work under pressure fulfilling multiple deadlines simultaneously, with a high degree of organisation with ability to multitask, prioritise, and follow up promptly with multiple parties.
Maintain all aspects of Safety & Security at all times.
SKILLS
Experience working in fine wine logistics.
Self-motivated and use of your own initiative.
Highly Organised with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong IT Skills (G Suite, eCustoms, EMCS).
Experience of working in an excise approved warehouse environment and using inventory management systems.
Ability to communicate at all levels including fluent spoken and written English. (French advantageous)
Strong ability and experience of people management.
Desire to learn and take on new challenges.
