Your future plans

Our Financial Statements & Central Services function at RWE Supply & Trading (RWEST) provide expertise for the whole segment regarding IFRS segment reporting and local statutory accounts, treasury operations and accounting data services.

Your new team, Bank Payments & Continuous Improvement, provide treasury operation services for the whole Trading segment. They are responsible for working on continuous improvements within the international Accounting team.

Due to growth we have a new role available for an Accountant in our Bank Payments & Continuous Improvement team, working (including travel) in an international Accounting team based in the UK and Germany. Your new team are collaborative, social, open and have a very strong team spirit, so this is a great opportunity to join them.

Key responsibilities will include :

  • Execution of external payments for all commodities, collaterals and margins payments for the Trading segment, including the disposition report for the Treasury department of RWE AG.
  • Preparation and execution of all intercompany payments.
  • Processing bank statements from external banks and in-house cash banks (incoming and outgoing payments, realisation of interest rate swaps, realisation of FX derivatives, interests etc.).
  • Month end processes for bank closing.
  • Preparing information for, and responding to audit queries for all bank and payment topics.
  • Supporting S4 / Hana implementation.
  • Continuous Improvement projects within Accounting (e.g. Brokerage, process documentation).

This role will be based at our state-of-the-art campus in Swindon. We offer flexible and hybrid working, with 2+ days in the office per week.

Your powerful skills

You will be either newly qualified or a junior-level qualified Accountant who is enthusiastic, personable and a collaborative team player.

Other key requirements include :

  • Excellent knowledge of SAP FI and MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Some previous experience in project management.
  • Able and willing to travel internationally to other RWEST locations as required.
  • S / 4 / HANA experience and / or basic Access skills would be an advantage.
