Your Impact

The Production Manager / Value Stream Leader (VSL) will oversee and coordinate team training and activities to meet production volume, quality, delivery, and cost targets. They will drive continuous improvement in plant policies and production techniques to enhance quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Setting performance standards and objectives for the Value Stream Team aligned with site and future goals.
  • Developing and executing an annual operating plan, including Kaizen initiatives, capital projects, productivity improvements, and budgeting.
  • Scaling Fortive Business Systems (Fortive's Continuous Improvement Methodology) and fostering engagement through development of cell leaders, buyers, quality engineers, and operators.
  • Leading regular Gemba reviews to ensure alignment and focus on exceeding customer expectations.
  • Ensuring product quality, on-time shipments, and material availability within assigned cells, collaborating with customers as needed.
  • Establishing takt time goals based on forecasts and schedules, and maintaining current and future state value stream maps.
  • Managing hiring, training, performance evaluations, and employee development actions.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will demonstrate :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Production Management (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience as a first-line supervisor / manager.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills with a track record of leading successful teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing teams of 30-100 employees and handling various personnel and production challenges.
  • Excellent time management, troubleshooting, planning, follow-through, and quality improvement skills.
  • Knowledge of Oracle business systems (advantageous).
  • Effective collaboration skills across technical and management levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
