Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Manchester City Centre

Salary : £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, plus performance bonus, company van and

paid training

Hours : 40 hours per week, 7am – 3pm, Monday – Friday

My client a North West based electrical and mechanical engineering contractor, boasting a prolific portfolio spanning all manner of works, including lighting, heating, air-conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, power, communications, security, and much more, offering services in conception and design, procurement, project management, installation, commissioning and hand over, through to preventative maintenance programs and emergency repairs.

Due to expansion, currently seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. They have multiple Greater Manchester based clients that own a variety of building types, such as : Hotels, Bus Stations, Tram Stations, Commercial and Industrial Factories and many more, that require maintenance mainly throughout the working day.

You will need to demonstrate a degree of professionalism on when on site with clients keeping uniform presentable at all times.

The typical ‘call-out’s will consist of the fault finding & subsequent repairs of :

  • Lighting Systems
  • Small Power
  • Fire Alarms
  • Intruder Alarms
  • Emergency Lighting
  • PAT Testing
  • Planned / Reactive Call Outs
  • Testing – Electrician Installation
  • Structural Wiring

Work cosists of anythign from changing a light bulb to full electrical rewires and anything in between!

Who we’re looking for :

Qualifications :

Must have :

  • Gold ECS Card
  • 18th Edition
  • Driving License
  • Person spec :

  • Experience as a commercial Electrical maintenance engineer
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Comfortable with being in charge of projects
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Ability to manage time and efficiently organize the day ensuring all our client's needs are met
  • Effective communication with the wider team
